The Product Unit Image Processing has a strong track record of leading innovations in the area of video processing within the Live Entertainment and ProAV industry. The tag line “No Barco, No Show” has been used by our customers to underline the key role of our products for live entertainment. We are looking for an experienced product manager to lead the transformation of our main product lines and sustain our track record of innovation. As Product Manager, you will be responsible to define the strategic direction of the product line and portfolio, and execute accordingly.
Function
You are the end-to-end owner, expert and integrator of your product(s) throughout the full lifecycle. You define product innovations aligned with market segment value propositions and based on a deep understanding of the customer needs. You align with other stakeholders to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. Finally, you understand how hardware, software and experience are all important and contribute to end customers and users.

Strategy
Key responsibilities
- You define winning product requirements, based on customer segment needs, product/technical insights, market trends and customer personas.
- You focus on the customer experience, driving differentiation through a deep understanding of customer needs and best-in-class user experience thinking. You represent the customer and end-user internally and externally.
- You conduct market and customer research to gather product insights, supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers.
- You gather competitive intelligence and perform competitive analysis.
- You define, document and communicate the roadmap and product strategy in coordination with the different stakeholders
- You develop the business case & define business models - prepare, organize & lead the Business Case Review, in strong collaboration with Segment Marketing.
- You create pricing models/architecture and get input from HQ for final pricing decisions
- You play an integrator role and collaborate with a wide variety of functional areas such as segment marketing, sales, engineering, manufacturing, product owners and operations to define product requirements, customer needs and market opportunities. Ensure effective product development progress, take the necessary decisions on MVP/feature prioritization, and manage possible roadblocks and lead beta customers (daily mgmt., communication) supported by the Product Owner
- You work together with our ecosystem partners to create new and differentiating products
- Lead the UX of your product, in cooperation with UX expert teams.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing on new product launches, with best in class product launch management thinking across the Customer Journey
- Deliver internal & partner enablement (Training, Tools, Demos)
- You own and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of product
- You measure, in a data-driven way, the customer experience in order to manage enhancements and high-priority product issues
- You assess and implement product lifecycle initiatives.
- Be the expert on the product and the competition
Experience
- Master’s degree or Bachelor with strong on-the-job experience
- Ideally 6+ years in product management and product lifecycle management in the overall AV industry, or similar industry
- Proven track record in a product-driven organization and working on the intersection of product and software, defining product & portfolio strategy
- Experience managing a portfolio of products across a global market
- Technical affinity with and know-how of a similar industry or technology; knowledge of Image Processing solutions is a nice-to-have
- Experience working in a matrix organization
- Customer centricity and customer experience mindset in all you do. You enjoy spending time in the market to understand customer needs, and you translate them into new experiences and products.
- You are an excellent communicator in English (both active listening as well as presenting) to identify and express market insights
- You put customer success & experience first and are motivated to gather real end user needs for various use cases applications, translate them into product specifications, verify them with target user groups and communicate towards R&D
- You understand interaction design and the importance of prototyping and customer validation for a successful user experience
- Ability to conduct market, competitor and customer research to gather insight, assess market opportunities and make the case for investment
- Ability to coordinate with product development, engineering and other functions for product development and delivery, on a global level. You are confident in prioritization with clear communication towards all stakeholders
- Energized by working in an international and multi-cultural context
- Passionate about technology, software and entertainment
- Strategic mindset with strong listening skills to anticipate the industry needs of the future
- Analytically strong and structured for optimal problem-solving
- Sense of ownership and action orientation, organized and efficient with time management
- You are a team player – willing to win together and help each other out, ability to cooperate with the different stakeholders in the organization
- Willing to travel 30% of time
- Willing to work in an international setting with remote teams
- Fluent in English
