A company active in the real estate sector is currently looking to hire a Project Controller to join their offices in Brussels.

Thanks to your experience in finance and in controlling, you will be the perfect addition to the company and will have an essential role in it.

Your main responsibilities as the new Project Controller will include:

  • Reviewing the budgets, tracking any potential deviations from the estimate throughout the project’s life cycle; sharing your findings with the project team and other stakeholders;
  • Examining and analysing committed, expended, and forecasted costs against approved budget and approved changes;
  • Preparing quarterly financial reporting; ensuring variances, incurred, committed, and forecasted costs are properly explained and communicated to the project team;
  • Performing reconciliations of costs and sales with accounting;
  • Actively contributing ideas on improvement to the control system with the project managers;
  • Ad hoc tasks, such as assisting corporate finance in drafting the cash planning and business plan;

Your profile:

  • You have a Master’s in Applied Economics, Commercial Engineering, MBA or equivalent
  • You have around 5 years of relevant experience in Audit or controlling, preferably in a project driven environment.
  • Having Real Estate Construction/ Development experience is a plus
  • You are fluent in Dutch or French and a good knowledge of English

Your strengths:

  • IT minded, you feel at ease in Excel, Power Bi is considered as a plus
  • You are a team player and goal oriented, you are always ahead and thinking about the next steps
  • You are flexible, can work under pressure and can adjust to changes in priorities
  • Through your previous experience you have built self-confidence and can challenge and discuss project assumptions with all levels of the Project Controls and Management Organisation
