DEME is a global solutions provider in a challenging and rapidly changing world and a world leader in the highly specialized fields of dredging and land reclamation, solutions for the offshore energy market, environmental and infra marine works. DEME Building Materials undertakes extraction & processing of marine aggregates and supplies sea aggregates like sand and gravel for the construction industry.

The motivated Project Finance Controller we are looking for – reporting to the Finance Manager for DEME Building Materials - will reinforce the team to ensure timely and sound execution of accounting, financial analysis, forecasting and in- and external reporting of financial results.

Your responsibilities

  • Analyse financial results and monitor the budgeting & forecast control cycle. Doing so you will be identifying potential financial risk areas and supporting the implementation of risk mitigating activities.
  • Drawing, analysing and monitoring cash flow forecasts, ensuring all commercial & financial reporting on the project phases, bring forward issues and opportunities.
  • Providing advise towards Management and other departments ensuring up-to-date knowledge of financial & fiscal laws and contractual requirements.
  • Keeping contact and maintain relationships with local authorities, contractors, and other partners.

Your profile

  • You hold a Bachelor or a Master degree (applied economics, accountancy or finance).
  • You have experience in a financial (preferably controlling) or audit position;
  • You speak Dutch and English fluently. French is an added value.
  • Good level of Microsoft Excel is needed and acquaintance with Power BI is a plus;
  • You are a decision maker and a problem solver, you take initiative in finding solutions.
  • You are a team player but yet manage to work independently and take ownership over your work.
  • You are willing to work at our Headquarters in Zwijndrecht and one day per month in various locations (project sites) at Belgian, Dutch or French coast.
