Context of the mission / Objective(s) of the job

Your initial project will involve collaborating with app developers and users to productize the AI assistant app using Python FastAPI and custom HTML/JS frontend as well as establishing a process and best practices for streamlining the conversion of new features and other apps. And in the future we will be looking to leverage your experience to enrich our Generative AI capabilities.

Responsibilities.

· Develop a FastAPI + HTML + JS web application based on the existing Streamlit app.

· Collaborate closely with the team responsible for the Streamlit app and the UI standards team.

· Work with the platform team to deploy the app, ensuring its supportability and maintainability.

· Maintain well-documented code, complete with necessary unit and integration tests.

· Establish a process, along with required documentation and tools, to facilitate the seamless conversion of new Streamlit app features to the FastAPI-based app in the future.

Requirements.

· Proficient in Python and FastAPI.

· Solid understanding of HTML and Javascript, with knowledge of the LIT framework being a plus.

· Experience with Generative AI, including the use of OpenAI and/or Azure OpenAI APIs. Familiarity with standard data analytics libraries such as pandas, matplotlib, transformers, langchain, etc.

· Expertise in development tools, including GIT, IDE (preferably VSCode), and CI/CD (preferably Azure DevOps-based).

· Ability to work independently, breaking down complex tasks into manageable subtasks and executing them.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

· A proactive and results-driven mindset, capable of resolving issues independently or seeking help and driving issues to resolution.

· Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on developing innovative solutions
