For our client, located in Landen, are we looking for a sales engineer.The company has over the last 30 years, developed industry-leading technology and know-how in the continuous anodising of aluminium flat rolled (sheet) products. This electro-chemical process, specific to aluminium, permits the enhancement of the surface of the metal, thereby increasing its functionality and providing it with a durable protection against the effects of corrosion, whilst retaining the authentic metallic finish of the aluminium.
They are the leading company in its sector in worldwide for over 30 years.
As a sales engineer you will work in a B2B work environment. You will detect current customer needs and follow them up.
Further developing the customer business and strategies and conducting the necessary prospecting to expand the customer potential to new geographical markets are your main objectives.
Job Content
- Responsible for all customer interactions and reporting to company management.
- Optimize customer satisfaction by paying sufficient attention to customer needs.
- Through a thorough knowledge of the product range, be perceived by the customer as an important source of information to explain various technical aspects of the product and to add value to developing markets.
- To set up ambitious targets within the guidelines of the sales department.
- Provide a detailed update on all current and future customer activities and product development
- Provide the customers with sufficient support in terms of technical specifications of the product, as well as production and quality follow-up
- Prepare an annual business plan with respect to your customers, and be responsible for its implementation and follow-up
- Manage complaint handling in collaboration with the technical functions and production.
- In collaboration with management, have responsibility for product development with existing customers
- Responsible for achieving the sales objectives with the customer
- You will be the first point of contact with the customer and responsible for all communication to the commercial services in accordance with the company policy and in a professional manner
- Responsible for prospecting potential new clients
- You have a master’s degree in industrial engineering in chemistry.
- Experience as a sales engineer or in a similar position is a plus
- You will follow the necessary training plans to acquire sufficient knowledge regarding surface treatment and process technology.
- Good written and oral knowledge of Dutch or French AND English is necessary, German is an asset.
- You have analytical skills to work out possible short, medium or long term opportunities in line with the company’s strategy.
- You have very good communication skills and sufficient maturity to be able to hold your own in negotiations with internal and external professionals.
- You have a driving license B.
- In the context of prospecting and customer management, you are willing to visit customers in the country and abroad.
- Special skills: knowledge of Excel, Word, Powerpoint
