Our client is a Belgian subsidiary of an American group specializing in tools and industrial equipment for various sectors of activity. In order to strengthen its Nivelles site, we’re looking for a Sales and Project Engineer.

Reporting to the Europe Sale Director, you’re responsible for maximizing sales of our client products in assigned territory. You may also provide day-to-day application and technical support to sales representatives, customers, inside staff and customer service group.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops sales plans and strategies in coordination with the European Sales Force.
  • Delivers on sales targets.
  • Confers with sales representatives, direct sales employees or customer service to develop sales objectives for market areas.
  • Recommends pricing strategies and promotional programs for key customers in assigned territory.
  • Maintains personal contact with key customers in assigned markets.
  • Recruits, interviews, and selects candidates for sales representative or direct sales positions within assigned region in coordination with the European Sales Force, hierarchy and Legal Department.
  • Holds responsibility for new agent/hiring training and development.
  • Analyzes sales representative or direct sales team member and effects change as needed to sustain and continue growth.
  • Develops and implements management programs for major accounts.
  • Develops new business by finding opportunities in new technology and services and maintains existing business.
  • Establishes lasting, professional relationships with customer contacts. Meets regularly with customers, and is intimately familiar with their business plans.
  • Understands customer’s local environment and identifies new technical applications suited to their needs.
  • Ensures that problems arising from sales are responded to and appropriately managed.
  • Actively updates account and sales management regarding changes to customer accounts.
  • Uses the sales systems and processes to document and communicate opportunities, market and competitive intelligence, customer information including: contacts, visit reports, etc.

· Build/maintain strong communications skills

· Develop good pipeline and opportunity management processing skills

· Demonstrate good knowledge of industrial’s technology and services

· Build professional relationships with customers

· Demonstrate good knowledge of competitor’s technical and service offerings, pricing tactics and sales strategies

· Attend training courses to develop knowledge of company’s key technologies, as well as competitor practices, demonstrate profit and customer driven attributes

· Must possess analytical skills.

· Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects concurrently.

· Must be detail oriented.

· Comply with all government, industry and company regulations and standards to ensure a healthy and safe work environment, as well as, reduce environmental impact

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Engineering education prefered (Chemistry Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Food Technology Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, … ).

2. At least five years of Industrial Process Equipment - Field experience prefered.

3. Experience with vibrating / Gyratory separation equipment – preferred.

4. Valid motor vehicle operator’s license. Willingness to travel extensively in assigned territory (30%).

5. Strong communication skills—verbal, presentation, and writing.

6. Require strong technical comprehension/understanding ability.

7. Interest in directing and guiding others—supervisory interest or skills.

8. Must be fluent in English language writen and spoken. French and others languages a plus.
