We are looking for a talented and dedicated technical enthusiast to join the Technology Practices organization inside the Engagement-Domain, consisting of experts which supports, enables and empowers TUI’s global e-commerce services and solutions across all European markets. The practice teams strives for technical maturity, agile practices and operational excellence.The Senior Cloud Engineer is a practitioner and an advocate of state-of-the-art cloud engineering practices.About The Job
  • You will join a highly motivated team that is eager to improve TUI’s enterprise IT landscape;
  • You will provide technical expertise within various teams across the organization, shape engineering processes and practices as well as coach and develop other team members;
  • You will define and maintain best practices for managing AWS resources and ensuring teams follow appropriate processes;
  • You will lead complex technical solution delivery and will work within an agile product team.
About You
  • Proven deep knowledge of working with highly available, distributed systems and services in a cloud environment;
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and in designing and implementing scaled cloud systems with a focus on solution architecture, using a range of tools and services, infrastructure-as-code, DevSecOps and security engineering practices;
  • Programming skills at a proficient level and strong scripting language skills e.g. Python, Go or Node.js;
  • Excellent knowledge with CI/CD, preferably Gitlab CI;
  • Hands-on experience with IaC-Tooling such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation or CDK;
  • Up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity threats, current best practices, threat modelling and risk mitigation techniques;
  • Demonstrating true engineering craftsmanship mindset;
  • Compelling coaching and training skills for imparting professional software engineering skills;
  • Fluent in English.
