Opportunity

Multinational company active in the department of Surgical and Modality (customer specific healthcare development/OEM) Displays seeks, a software / firmware developer to expand its R& D department.

The ideal resource is a Senior Embedded Software Engineer with a degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and several years of experience in the role.

Responsibility
  • Embedded s oftware development for medical displays
  • Responsible for the complete software life cycle from specification until delivery including architecture , design & implementation in a medical device context.
  • Maintenance of existing codes due to product changes and /or specification updates
  • Mentoring junior engineers and promoting knowledge inside the team

Required Competencies
  • Bachelor or M aster degree, combined with a minimum 5 years of work experience in embedded software development
  • Experienced in C and C++ programming
  • Experience with Version Controlling Systems such as for example GIT
  • Good knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
  • Excellent problem solving & analytical capabilities
  • A good knowledge of written and spoken English
  • Team player but also able to work independently

Considered a plus

Experience with video processing, Embedded linux systems, Continuous integration methodologies, Experience with IEC 62304 (medical device software development), Docker
