What will you do?

To successfully renew, build and integrate applications, ADESA Europe is looking for a senior developer.

• You will be working on a software system that is the backbone of the ADESA Europe organization. The system is handling approximately 100 000 car sales per year, within and across countries, with a variety of regulations and more than 150 partner integrations, while maintaining a unified experience to our buyers.
• You make and guide technical design decisions within the .NET world and besides that, you also have some experience in React or Angular.
• You report directly to the IT Director of ADESA Europe and operate within the development scrum team. The local Scrum team is part of an international SAFe organization with 8 Scrum teams and works in close collaboration with the local and international teams, including IT OPS and Architecture.
• As a senior developer you will also coach other developers in the team, sharing your experience and using pair programming.

Who are you?

• You have a bachelor’s degree in IT (or equal by experience);
• You are a positive team player that likes to work in a motivating international environment;
• You have a proven experience of minimum 5 years as a senior C# .NET developer in a web environment, preferably in a full-stack web developer role with React or Angular;
• You have excellent communication and technical lead skills that fit your senior developer background;
• You are experienced in front end as well as back end development;
• You have experience in optimal database design, preferably on SQL Server, and an interest in further optimizations for speed with Redis and Elasticsearch;
• You are knowledgeable about service orientation, and experienced with RESTful web services and web sockets;
• You have knowledge of the OWASP Top 10 and are up-to-date with web security challenges;
• You have a quality mindset, achieve high levels of code quality standard;
• You are eager to put your senior .NET expertise to work;
• You are experienced in the Agile way of working (Scrum, SAFe), and devops (CI/CD, pipelines);
• You are fluent in English, Dutch or French are a plus;
• You live in the surrounding area of Tienen.
