Sopra Steria is currently looking for a Senior Java Developer with ATM experienceto reinforce our team working on projects within air traffic Management sector at the EUROCONTROL.

We are looking for a candidate with experience in building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications in client’s digital platform.

Your Mission:

You will be part of a talented software team that works on mission-critical applications. Java developer roles and responsibilities include managing application design, development, testing and level 3 operational support while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle and maintain safety related software systems in air traffic and capacity management (flow management systems).

Within the Develop and deliver (DAD) Directorate in EUROCONTROL, the NM (Network Manager) development teams are responsible for the maintenance, development and improvement of software products which support EUROCONTROL in achieving its safety and capacity targets and sustain the growing Air Traffic Demand.

Your Profile:

  • Completed university studies of at least 4 years in a relevant domain (e.g., IT, Computer Sciences, Business Intelligence, etc.).
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience.
  • The working languages of the Agency are English and French. For this job, candidates must be proficient users of English at level C1/C2.
  • Ability to work in a multinational and multicultural environment. The working language is English.

  • Quality Focus: Sets and fosters high quality standards.
Your knowledge/experience:

Experience in:

  • Developing software using Java (Min 5 Years).
  • Developing software using Javascript with React JS (Min 2 Years)
  • Testing software using Junit, Jest or Selenium
  • Linux, MS Windows and Office
  • CSS3 + HTML5 experience (Min 2 years)
  • Modeling in XLM Schema
  • GIT control system
  • Docker/kubernetes/Openshift
  • Bitbucket
  • Jenkins
  • REST
  • Json
The following requirements would be an advantage:

  • Knowledge of Java Frameworks (Authorization, Persistence, Memory Management and Threading).
  • Experience in operations systems Linux and Ms Windows and Office.
  • Knowledge of Mockito, Robot Framework, Jasmine, SoapUI, Selenium, Eclipse, Jprofiler, Ant, Maven, Weblogic, GWT, HTTP, SQL, Spring Framework, IntelliJ IDEA and JDBC.
  • Previous experience in Web Services Description Language (WSDL).
  • Experience modeling in SSM and UML.
  • Experience scripting in Shell and interfacing with Adapters.
  • Experience in management tools such as Sharepoint, Remedy, HP-ALM, Document Templates (OTSP, OTSD, ADD, BSR…), CC-tools (branching, integration view, daily development commands), ServiceNow, JIRA and AsciiDoc.
