We’re looking for a Solution Architect to join an established ICT architecture team, covering subdomains such as Finance, ICT, Communication, Supply Chain & Facility Management, Customer, and Transformation. While the primary focus will be on Finance and ICT, you may also work across other subdomains depending on project needs.

You will work closely with the Domain Architect, contribute to solution architecture within projects and product teams, and ensure high-quality designs for complex enterprise environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as Solution Architect for projects within the Corporate Domain, focusing on Finance and ICT.
  • Design and model integrations (APIs, middleware, event-driven architectures).
  • Shape and implement robust data architectures, including data modeling, data flows, and data platforms.
  • Work within a cloud architecture context, particularly Azure, applying best practices and proven paradigms.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture and integrate with SAP-based landscapes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements, propose options, and deliver clear, actionable designs.

Must-Have Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect (5+ years), including in similar environments and large-scale contexts (>5,000 users).
  • Strong experience in Azure cloud architecture and related technologies.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience designing and modeling integrations (APIs, middleware, event-driven).
  • 5+ years’ experience in data architecture (modeling, flows, platforms) and as a data architect in complex projects.
  • SAP expertise, with at least 3 years working in an architecture context where SAP is a core platform.
  • Knowledge of accounting and SAP FICO (including S/4HANA).
  • Understanding of application communication layers.
  • Proficiency in architecture modeling techniques (Archimate, TOGAF, UML) and tools (Sparx EA or LeanIX).
  • Native-level Dutch (CEFR C2).
  • Strong communication skills and client-focused problem-solving approach.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with domains such as Finance, ICT, Communication, or general business services.
  • Knowledge of the Belgian energy sector.
  • Familiarity with public sector processes.

Location: Gent – Hybrid

Duration: 22/09/2025 – 21/09/2026 (220 days, full time, extension possible)
