The resident consultant engineer will be working within Model Based Design (MBD) team at our client’s premises, and for the assigned project the main responsibilities will be:
-To develop modelling and evaluation tools: standardizing the virtual development process.
-Run & modify existing models to calculate e-motor surge voltage.
-Perform electromagnetic simulations of e-motor using JMAG or Ansys Maxwell.
-Use MATLAB to simulate electronic circuit of e-motor & calculate surge voltage.
-Validate model prediction accuracy against test data measured at bench, to verify simulation method and propose model improvements.
-Conduct research & survey activities to identify measurement & simulation methods for surge voltage at vehicle level.
-Testing support: work alongside technician team to setup e-motor bench, prepare test instruction to measure surge voltage, oversee testing campaigns and support technicians in problem solving.
-Data Analysis: analyze test results to ensure correct execution of test procedures, identify surge voltage in different conditions based on test results.
-Team support: take a role of expert in the field, contribute to the team overall outcome, support problem solving, collaborate with technician/evaluation/design/simulation team.
-Preparation of technical report & presentations to update the project progress and main results.
