COMPANY: POLITICO

POLITICO is seeking a creative and driven social media producer with at least one year of relevant professional experience to join our global audience team.

In this full-time, Brussels-based position, you’ll play a key role in crafting smart, compelling content that brings our journalism to life across platforms. From breaking news and live events to deep-dive policy coverage, you’ll help ensure our stories resonate with the right people, in the right places, at the right time.

The ideal candidate will be able to craft social copy in POLITICO’s signature voice and will thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, as well as having an interest in or experience analyzing data to draw insights from analytics tools.

What you’ll do:

  • Write and schedule social posts to amplify the reach and impact of our journalism
  • Work with the Audience and wider Editorial teams to help plan and implement social media coverage for key news moments, coverage lines and live events
  • Build social promo plans that ensure our coverage connects with our target audience
  • Create compelling visuals to promote our journalism on social media
  • Analyze data to refine social strategies and boost engagement
  • Help train reporters and production staff on social best practices

What you’ll need:

  • 1 year of experience in a newsroom, media organization, or communications role with a focus on social media
  • Native-level English / C2 Level
  • Sharp and snappy writing skills with impeccable attention to detail
  • Solid news judgment and a demonstrated interest in EU politics
  • Strong understanding of major social platforms (X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Bluesky)
  • A strong visual eye and knowledge of the Adobe suite (namely Photoshop)
  • A creative, team player who is flexible, proactive, and ready to take on a wide variety of tasks
