YOUR FUTURE JOB

As System Development Engineer at Melexis, you will participate in the development of complex (MEMS) sensor products. These products are often characterized by the fact that they have a new concept, IC, sensor, package, technology, calibration method and production test setup. Working closely with our System Architects, you will take on a key role in building knowledge and ensuring a smooth system integration of all these physical domains.

More specifically, you will:

  • Support the architects to obtain missing system level knowledge
  • Execute system level validation (measurements, modeling or simulations) including ensuring the right tools and setups to execute these validations
  • Facilitate and drive the system FMEA for certain projects
  • Participates in outward focus activities like technology scouting, patents, …
  • Execute system level problem solving
  • Carry out complex data analysis

YOUR PROFILE

  • You have a Master degree or PhD in engineering, material science, physics, nanotechnology or a related field
  • You are self-driven and passionate about anything a complex product requires (IC, MEMS, package, technology, calibration,...)
  • You ideally have a broad experience, either academic or in the industry. Experience in optics and/or photonics would be an asset.
  • You have a quality mindset, and outstanding analytical skills. Experience in machine learning would be an asset.
  • Experience in project management would be an asset
  • You have excellent communication skills in English
