Thales Belgium, which employs more than 280 collaborators, is specialized in the design, development and supply of critical information systems for customers in the sectors of Defense, Security (including Cyber) and Aerospace.

For its activities, Thales Belgium SA (Tubize site) is looking for a:

System Integrator Air Traffic Control System

Mission

Thales is currently upgrading the Air Traffic Control (ATC) system of the Belgian Air Navigation Service Provider to a new system.

Thales is looking for a system integrator to join this project during its whole life cycle from development to putting into operation and then support.

You will be performing your mission initially in the Thales Competence Centre close to Paris and then at the customer’s premises in Belgium. The working language is English, French and Dutch are an asset.

Main Responsibilities & Profile

During the first 6 months, the candidate will be part of the Thales System Integration team, located in Rungis, France. The work during this phase will consist in acquiring the competence on the existing and the new Thales Topsky-ATC systems through a participation to the support activities for the existing system and the development of the new one. For that purpose, the candidate will be integrated in the Thales System Integration team.

After this initial period, the candidate will be performing his/her duty on customer site:

• In a first phase by participating to the system integration of the new system
• In a second phase by being the on-site point of contact for any customer requests and issues.
  

This is a long term assignment until 2028.

The Following Qualifications Shall Be Provided By The Candidate

• Engineer or Master with IT background
• An experience in the domain of the Air Traffic Control is a strong asset although not mandatory,
• Experience of at least 5 years as System Engineer in a complex environment with predominant software,
• English. French and Dutch are an asset,
• Customer focus,
• Interest for working in a multinational environment,
• Autonomous and quality minded
  

Required Technical Skills

• Linux and scripting languages
• Network (CISCO or JUNIPER).
• Languages : Python, Perl. Other languages are an asset.
• Data bases : Elastic search – Kibana or equivalent
