Attention, all gamechangers in mechatronics!

We are looking for YOU to join our team! As mechatronics system modeling expert, you’ll be responsible for developing scalable plant models for mechanical, hydraulic, electric, and thermal systems in automotive and production technology applications.

Your experience in designing and modeling applications with high dynamic or high-speed requirements is crucial, as you’ll be mapping system performance to subsystem and component requirements that you validate with simulation.

Tasks
  • You daily share your passion for mechatronics with us and our clients!
  • You work on a variety of projects and applications within the broad simulation space.
  • You help customers create system and component-level plant models for a variety of use cases ranging from early performance validation of (sub)systems sizing to supporting embedded software/controls validation with closed-loop simulation.
  • You help customers (re)define their plant model architectures to facilitate efficient and modular testing taking full benefit of modeling patterns and paradigms
  • You share your knowledge on configuring and deploying plant models in desktop and real-time setups (MIL-SIL-HIL) leveraging e.g. co-simulation interfaces (FMI,...)
  • You can define and support the right test campaigns customers have to run to validate and calibrate your simulation models
  • You keep track of project status in an agile way and monitor open items in Jiralidate and calibrate your simulation models
  • You share your knowledge with others and consider yourself an expert in keeping things simple
  • You steer proactively clients and internal teams to reach the project goals.

Requirements
  • You have a multi-physics brain capable of understanding and describing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic or thermal phenomena in terms of simulation models
  • You can take a system-level view when approaching a simulation study by describing an application in terms of the right subsystems and their interplay
  • You can tune model fidelity in line with customer cases: low fidelity models for early concept studies or software verification and validation towards high fidelity modeling for analysis of component-specific phenomena.
  • Skill set in 3D CAE applications (Simcenter 3D,...) or DOE technology (Simcenter HEEDS) is considered an advantage.

Experience with process tools like Git or Jenkins for automation and version management would be considered a plus.
  • You feel comfortable working with co-simulation tool integrations (FMI,...)

  • You can manage your work independently, debrief on your projects and communicate proactively on issues if needed.
  • You like to visit our customers on a regular basis to update them on your results and jointly discuss with on next steps.
