SYSTEMS ENGINEER W/M - AUTOMOTIVE

As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the development, requirements management, and design of systems. As a Systems Engineer, you will have the following tasks:

• Collect and analyse stakeholder requirements (e.g., through simulations with internal and external global resources in developing electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical (Mechatronic) components and systems to be utilized across various platforms.
• Defining dynamic behaviour and architecture of the system of interest
• Establishing white box system requirements (functional, interface, performance, ...) consistent with stakeholder requirements
• Ensure the definition of a verification & validation, and integration strategy in collaboration with the system V&V engineer and the involved competence teams (software, HV hardware, mechanics, ...)
• Ensuring consistency through bidirectional traceability between requirements and activities or work products
• Communicating the requirements to fellow project participants
• Selecting and aligning the project quality assurance approach with respect to systems engineering
• Systematically capturing, analysing, monitoring and reporting metrics relevant to your activities
• Supporting projects assigned to you (Planning the systems engineering process, estimating activities, status reporting, communicating problems...)

Descriptif du profil

• You are in possession of a master’s degree in Mechatronics/Informatics/Electronics
• Preferably, you have 3-5 years of work experience within mechatronics
• Because of this you have the necessary technical skills in (processes & standards, systems engineering...)
• Requirements Knowledge: experience writing requirements and specifications for electrical and/or electronic hardware.
• Embedded Electronics Design: training and/or experience in embedded electronic systems and/or subsystems design.
• System Verification and Validation: experience verifying compliance with requirements and validating acceptability at the system level.
• Experience resolving reliability issues at the component and/or system level using techniques such as 8D and 5 Why.
• Experience designing and/or optimizing manufacturing of actuation components / systems.
• Experience in management and implementation of Product Life Management (PLM) and Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems.
• Ability to solve problems.
• In depth knowledge within: Global Product Design and Development, component and system testing, DFMEA, PFMEA, and Failure analysis.
• Experience in Project Management (PMO)
• Must possess strong communication skills and ability to engage and correspond with a global network of teams, colleagues, and interfaces.
• Strong personal ownership and focus to meet deliverables
• Experience in Automotive sector or similar field.
• You are communicatively strong and good at dealing with complex processes
• Fluent in English, and Dutch is a plus
