The main mission of our Tactical Sourcing team is to manage RFQs, purchase price validity globally by negotiating the best purchase conditions among preferred vendors, support cost reduction programs in collaboration with GIS Sales and Strategic Sourcing divisions, item master data and vendor master data management.

Based on the item category, the Tactical Buyer negotiate and own the relationship with the GIS preferred vendors or partners defined by GIS Strategic Sourcing division.

MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build and maintain validity of price lists for at least 12 months
• Negotiation of supply conditions
• Manage RFQs and negotiate for the best purchasing conditions (unit cost, lead time, payment terms, MOQ) with selected vendors
• Create a knowledge basis (relationship and pricing history) on GIS systems about the related vendor
• Problem solving in the supply chain
• Searching for new sources of supply
• Experience with Item Card Management, Vendor Card Management,
• Support technology to increase transactional procurement efficiencies in line with Automation strategies,
• Follows the processes described in the training manuals
• You’ll report to the Tactical Sourcing Team Manager

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of work experience in purchasing, inventory, or supply chain management (or technical background)
• Bachelor or Master degree

Skills and competences

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English & French
• Extra language skills are a plus
• You work independently and meticulously
• Ownership to take responsibility of results
• Willingness to learn to fill the gaps
