PURPOSE OF THE JOB AND ADDED VALUE

• Support the terminals with implementing (technical) sustainability solutions.
• Provide technical expertise in the field of storage of renewable products.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND PLACE OF WORK

• The Technical CSR Manager is a member of a small but eager and professional Global CSR team. Reporting line is directly to the Group CSR Director.
• In the team you will have the opportunity to make a difference and take responsibility. We have short communication lines and believe learning and development is gained by on-the-job experience. If you want responsibility, you will get responsibility.
• The focus of the position will be on assisting the global terminal network in implementing the sustainability strategy from a technical/operational perspective.
• This can be by helping the terminals implement solutions to become more sustainable and by looking into technical solutions required for the storage of renewable products.
• To be successful and ensure ideas are being adapted by the business, the jobholder will have regular contact with the CSR Director and CSR Manager, Terminal Managers, Technical/Operations Managers, HSSEQ personnel, CSR Community members and applicable external stakeholders.
• People in LBC are complementary to each other, based on different backgrounds, ways of thinking and how to approach/resolve matters. Only through collaboration of these different perspectives can we fulfill our ambition as a group.
• Location of work will either be our global head office at Rotterdam or regional office located in Houston.

WHAT WE BELIEVE YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL AS TECHNICAL CSR MANAGER

Professional education/experience and other requirements:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Sustainability Management, Energy or Resource Management, Environmental Sciences, Industrial Engineering, or other relevant study.
• Technical or operational background, preferably in the terminal or petrochemical industry.
• Experienced in construction and project management.
• Fluent Dutch and English is necessary. Any other language is an asset.
• Willingness to travel between Belgium/Antwerp, the Netherlands/Rotterdam and USA/Houston area.
