JOB DESCRIPTION

INTRASOFT International, a leading European IT solutions provider, is seeking on behalf of one of the European Institutions based in Brussels, a professional to cover the following opening:

Technical Support Analyst (m/f)

(Expert MS Office / Excel / VBA)


Context

The Digital Solutions Division at the EEAS is looking for the position of Technical Support Analyst/Expert MS Office / Excel / VBA)in charge of supporting and maintaining the legacy Office & MS Access Applications.

Main duties
 Implement the PAYROLL process (based on Ms Excel template sheets) for all
EU Delegation which still didn’t implement the EEAS Payroll Engine
 Update the PAYROLL process for all EU Delegations which are already
implementing the EEAS Payroll Engine
 Deliver end-users support on the technical aspects of the EEAS Payroll
Engine


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Tasks

Problem analysis, troubleshooting and bug fixing, system enhancements and
support related to legacy MS Excel and VBA applications



  • Develop and/or maintain small applications using MS Office

  • Provide support and guide customers through specific payroll applications

  • Analyze user problems and provide potential workarounds for problems

  • Report on incidents and problems

  • Raise information and change requests to project teams

  • Develop and maintain knowledge base for user support

  • Collaborate with business users and other IT team members with collaborative
    tools

Knowledge, Competences and Tools

  • Strong and extended knowledge of MS Excel / VBA development cycle
  • Deep knowledge and experience in Human Resources domain (especially
    Payroll and Tax Management) is an asset
  • Significant experience in writing VBA for MS Excel, developing and
    troubleshooting
  • Methodical and disciplined problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English, French in addition
    would be an asset
  • Experience of ITSM tool, such as ServiceNow, and ALM tools like Jira would
    also be assets
