Job Description

  • You will work in the R&D Test Center
  • You will be part of a fast moving engineering team in a highly innovative environment
  • You will work with one of the most advanced test rigs in the region for NVH testing
  • You closely co-operate with and co-ordinate between test engineering, NVH engineering,

test rigs operators and various other R&D departments

  • Your focus will be on the NVH testbed: performing tests on the EV and HEV products of

tomorrow. But other test rigs (mechanic, hydraulic or functional) can also come under your

responsibility

  • You improve existing tests and develop new tests with a focus on assessing the NVH

performance of our conventional, hybrid and electric powertrains.

  • You will write test scripts and sequences for automatic tests on different platforms (PUMA,

CANapé, …), to have the test rig perform the test as specified by test engineering.

  • Sometimes you will also perform manual tests
  • You will take ownership for test rigs to ensure qualitative operation and to pursue

continuous efficiency improvement

  • You will get the ownership of the EFD (early failure detection) system.
  • You are responsible for the maintenance and possible upgrades for your test rig
  • You are the first contact person in case of operational issues of the test rigs
  • You analyse and resolve issues in a structured manner and avoid future reoccurrence
  • You provide necessary tools and documentation to ensure uniform operation at all test rigs
  • You perform Measurement System Analysis and Capability Studies to prove the performance

of the test rigs when needed.

  • You set KPI’s and use them to improve the quality and efficiency of testing, together with

your stakeholders

  • You will report to your Test Engineering team leader

Profile / Requirements

  • You have an engineering degree in the field of mechatronics, electro mechanics or

electronics.

  • Basic knowledge of control theory, structural dynamics, NVH, High Voltage applications is

Essential

  • Experience in testing, programming and scripting experience is essential
  • Matlab knowledge is required
  • Experience with transmissions is a plus
  • Basic experience in Visual Basic Script is a plus
  • Experience in NVH testing is a plus
  • Experience in PUMA Open 2 and Test.Lab is a plus.
  • You are an independent, positive person with a can-do mentality and have no problem

working under pressure and solving complex issues

  • You are a critical person who dares to challenge established ways of working, is continuously

on the look-out for improvements and is committed to implement them.

  • You have strong problem solving skills. But more importantly, you prevent problems by applying a structured personal work method where preparation is as important as execution.
  • Knowledge of 8D, 6σ, 5S, housekeeping, preventive maintenance and/or safety regulations

are a major plus.

  • You are a strong team player
  • Thanks to your clear communication skills and good knowledge of English, you are proficient

in reporting knowledge and results

  • You will get a BA4/5 training
