Our mission is to help customers reduce their carbon footprint and improve energy efficiency while providing reliable and high-performance refrigerant solutions. With a focus on safety, quality, and sustainability, we strive to be the preferred partner for HVAC&R professionals and customers around the world.
To address the environmental impact of F-gases, the European Union (EU) introduced the F-Gas Regulation in 2014. One of the key components of this regulation is the F-Gas quota system, which places a limit on the amount of F-gases that can be placed on the EU market each year.
The F-Gas quota system is an important tool for reducing F-gas emissions and promoting the use of alternative, more environmentally friendly technologies. It provides an economic incentive for businesses to reduce their use of F-gases and encourages the development of new technologies and products that are more sustainable.
The availability of F-Gas quota is a crucial factor for all stakeholders in the F-Gas industry, as it serves as a limiting factor in their value chain operations. As per the EU F-Gas Regulation, these quotas are transferable among companies. Chemours EMEA recognizes the significance of quota trading and is seeking to establish a dedicated branch for this purpose. To spearhead this initiative, Chemours is currently recruiting a trading analyst. This role will report to the Product Manager, based in Geneva.
What you will do
As a trading analyst, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with quota holders and companies interested in accessing quota in the EMEA region. Your exceptional interpersonal skills will be key in building a strong network and facilitating transactions in accordance with product management guidance on pricing and volume. You are not afraid to face challenges and are willing to go the extra mile, including engaging in cold calling to traders, new entrance and/or quota incumbents, to uncover new leads and opportunities.
Your ability to connect with others and leverage your network will establish you as the go-to person for both quota sellers and buyers. As a team player, you will seamlessly integrate into our collaborative approach, actively contributing to driving, monitoring, and mapping the quota business. Your enthusiasm to learn about the quota and Chemours business, coupled with your ambition to grow within the product management team, will further enhance your potential for success in this role.
In this role, you are expected to track quota market prices and build a dashboard to monitor a quota pricing trend and secure just-in-time transactions.
Who you are:
You are a driven, young professional who possesses a natural talent for cold calling and entrepreneurship. Fear of failure does not deter you as you are always eager to close the next deal.. You possess a winner mentality, constantly pushing yourself to achieve and exceed targets. You are committed to continuous improvement and are always eager to learn from experiences, both successes and setbacks, as you strive to become a top-performing sales professional.
Preferred qualifications for this role include,
- Fluency in English, with proficiency in other European languages such as French, German, or Italian is considered a strong advantage.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business or economics is desired, along with 2-5 years of experience in customer-facing roles or trading.
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
- As an excellent communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills, you possess a sales and business development personality, with a natural ability for charismatic cold calling.
- Your energy, eagerness to learn, and ambitious nature drive you to constantly achieve targets and close deals.
- Your relentless determination and drive make you a perfect fit for this role.
- Experience with PowerBI.
At Chemours, you will find sustainability in our vision, our business and your future. If you want to work on the leading edge of your field and have a desire to make a difference, join Chemours and discover what it means when we say “We Are Living Chemistry”.
