We Are Looking For
We’re looking for a Vice President (VP) of Engineering with experience managing agile development teams. Our VP of Engineering will be responsible for ensuring that products meet design requirements and deliver a consistent experience for users. You’ll be managing an entire team of engineers and developers, collaborating with the product managers, as well as guiding the company’s product vision and maintaining compliance with quality standards. If you thrive at delivering quality releases on schedule, are excellent communicator and are deeply passionate about driving right culture, developing people and building teams that last - you will feel at home at Keyrock. Great candidate knows how to spot a brilliant engineer in a recruitment process, turn junior one over time into a domain expert or technology leader and build and carry out efficient, goal-oriented, fast software delivery processes.
Job Description
Leadership
- Leading the team through management and mentorship
- Ensuring appropriate balance between high performance culture and wellness of the team
- Recruiting world‐class engineering talent and participate in the process, including attracting, screening, and closing high-caliber candidates.
- Building, developing and managing every seniority level in the engineering team
- Organizing necessary training and education for the engineers
- Developing procedures to ensure that quality standards are consistently met
- Recommending new technology and ideas to improve sprints and efficiency
- Managing the Tech Department budget
- Leading research and development to bring new products and services to the market
- Process orientedness - highly organized around priorities, velocity, quality and meeting deadlines
- Building cross-department relationships centered on executing company strategy
- Designing, implementation, and monitoring of all operations and key performance metrics/operational efficiency for the engineering team.
- Understanding and collaborating on the complete product lifecycle from concept to execution.
- Planning and designing new products and services; ensuring product vision is executed with operational excellenceMaking sure the engineers are maintaining the desired level of quality and standards
- Coordinating the work of engineers with other departments within the organization, including finance, marketing, production, and others
- Challenging the status-quo - ensuring that we do not just blindly continue whatever was done before but improve and bring new ways of working and delivering
- Being hands on whenever their input or positive example is required (including code reviews, bugs squashing etc.)
- Strategic thinking and ability to plan and execute upon it robustly
- Acting as an enabler a culture of creativity, collaboration, speed, innovation, and excellence
- Participate in strategic planning meetings with product management, architecture and design
- Contribute to technical engineering designs, resource management and implementations
- Experience working with both software development and algorithmic trading
- Experience managing a distributed team
- Proven success working closely with Product Management, contributing to the product strategy and helping to successfully deliver on the product roadmap
- Extensive experience in working with stakeholders to create hiring strategies to develop quality teams.
- Experience in recruiting engineers and contributors.

- Strong verbal, visual, and written communication skills with the ability to explain approach to all levels in the organization including key stakeholders
