Mission Context

The IT division responsible for developing and maintaining applications used to manage energy networks aims to strengthen its Data Quality team. This team focuses on implementing tools for analysing and monitoring the quality of asset data across electricity, gas, and telecom networks.

The consultant will design functional solutions that meet the needs expressed by the business throughout the development and maintenance lifecycle.

They will be responsible for performing analyses and documenting functional solutions that can be automated, enabling effective application development and long-term maintainability based on a deep understanding of business requirements.

Main Tasks

  • Functional Analysis and Case Management
  • Analyse automatable IT processes aligned with business workflows.
  • Draft functional specifications (use cases, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, etc.).
  • Translate specifications into complete test scenarios (steps, data, etc.).
  • Transfer specifications to developers and ensure understanding.
  • Coordinate the preparation of application instructions with the support team.
  • Execute integration and performance tests.
  • Assist business users during acceptance testing.
  • Document issues identified during testing and report them to developers.
  • Monitor issue resolution and ensure correction quality.
  • Incident and Problem Analysis
  • Investigate and diagnose incidents and problems reported by users.
  • Document identified issues and escalate them to developers.
  • Track resolution and validate the quality of corrections.
  • Provide third-line support to the existing support team.
  • Architecture Support
  • Participate in workshops led by the business or IT architecture teams during requirement preparation.
  • Support the IT architect in defining and refining business needs.
  • Thematic Data Analysis
  • Analyse alphanumeric and/or graphical data related to the applications to meet specific business analysis needs.
  • Documentation
  • Produce clear, complete, and accurate documentation throughout development and maintenance activities.

Skills Requirements

Must-Have

  • Ability to formalise functional analysis using UML diagrams
  • Advanced SQL
  • French proficiency at C2 level (CEFR)
  • Agile/Scrum methodology experience and user story creation
  • Proven experience with GIS tools (ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, ArcGIS Online, etc.)
  • Proven experience in network data quality management for utilities (5+ years)
  • Proven experience as a Functional Analyst (5+ years)
  • Proven experience with FME (5+ years)

Should-Have

  • Ability to interpret and understand BPMN diagrams
  • English level B1
  • Experience with test management tools (HPQC or equivalent)
  • Experience with modelling tools (Sparx EA or equivalent)
  • Experience implementing operational and decision-making reporting (3+ years)
  • Experience with testing methodologies (functional and integration)
  • Experience working with ADMS data
