Your role:
As segment manager, you are the global responsible for driving the segment.
- You are defining & implementing the strategy of the segment with the relevant regions.
- You develop the framework within which the commercial manager will organize his/her commercial team and activities.
- You provide the required support (in the form of clear value proposition, marketing materials, TCO models, market insights,…) to the commercial teams (and other channel members) to maximize the success for the commercial efforts.
- You will use the market insights and customer feedback from the commercial team and channel partners to finetune the different elements of the segment roadmap.
- You manage the product portfolio and have close interaction with R&D to steer the developments in line with the roadmap and to evaluate R&D suggestions in line with the segment roadmap and objectives.
- You steer and coach direct reports (marketers) and interrelated teams indirectly
What you bring:
- Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Business or marketing required
- 5+ years of business strategy, strategic marketing, sales, and/or consulting experience in the Construction Industry
- Solid expertise and know-how in market research methodology (sources, platforms & tools)
- Strong analytics skills including experience working with and manipulating large amounts of data
- Knowledge of Construction industry – concrete expertise is a plus; credibility in discussing current and future trends in the industry in front of customers and internal stakeholders; able to contribute content to thought leadership assets
- Ability to think creatively, approach work with an entrepreneurial mindset, and take the initiative despite minimal day-to-day oversight; ownership mindset to solve problems and drive the business
- Ability to work with and engage across management team and various functions within the organization. Ability to lead through influence.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, energetic environment. Willing to constructively contribute to and debate key issues affecting the organization across multiple areas
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing to internal and external audiences, including to the leadership team, to foster collaboration, drive alignment, and achieve results
- Travel (including international travel) up to 30% of time will be required
