Our client is an international (mid sized) organization active in the agricultural sector.

Job Description

As the Supply Planning and S&OP Manager, you oversee the different supply planning areas for the global products, chicory and variety production operations. This role is responsible for developing, managing, supervising, and coordinating resource and execution plans to ensure optimal use of the available resources and timely identification and resolution of constraints in the supply chain planning time fence.

Supply Planning Management:

  • Provide inputs for Executive Supply Reviews and as input for the S&OP cycles, to agree upon effective capacity plans that balance customer service, supply cost, and inventory targets to ensure that all derailing issues are effectively framed and escalated to relevant forums for resolution
  • Develop proactive scenarios and strategies to anticipate and mitigate issues and risks
  • Provide a monthly Master Production Plan for the Semi-Finished Product and the Finished Product, considering specific configuration

S&OP Management:

  • Facilitate each S&OP meeting to ensure alignment
  • Lead technical initiatives to improve data analysis
  • Support various projects including monthly demand plans, (materials) consumption models, network and production strategy optimization, integration of new businesses, and new product launches
  • Review, store, and backup final adjusted and un-adjusted statistical forecasts
  • Create and drive continuous improvement of world-class demand planning and S&OP processes
  • Measure, control, and improve S&OP plan accuracy through clearly defined metrics

Inventory Management:

  • Provide consultative guidance on the most complex aspects of developing inventory supply plans
  • Perform inventory segmentation and manage inventory of new and phase-out parts

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 10 to 15 year’s experience in agriculture or related industry (food).

Furthermore:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Supply Chain (Demand planning, Supply Planning, and Inventory Planning) incl. design, implementation, and execution of S&OP related processes
  • Strong expertise in different planning techniques
  • The ability to work across silos with people from different areas and gain consensus and buy-in
  • Leadership capability and influencing skills
  • Project Management skills, ideally Lean manufacturing
  • Proficiency SAP software and Microsoft excel
  • Ideally an IBF or APICS certification
  • Fluent in English, Dutch and French are a nice to have
