Global Technical Service Leader-Foodservice Oils, Large Chain

Job Purpose and Impact

The Global Technical Service Leader-Foodservice Oils, Large Chain will interface with the regional technical service organizations to leverage the technical services resources around the globe for insight gathering, technical problem articulation, deployment of technical solutions and proactively providing solutions in our customers systems. In this role, you will provide guidance and recommendations to technical services on product solutions to align with the customer’s global and regional strategic expectations. You will leverage your expert knowledge and the Foodservice Oils research and development team to differentiate our offerings and services, using customer insights to develop new projects for the portfolio and innovation pipeline to grow business opportunities. You will leverage your global customer understanding to partner with the regional technical and commercial leadership teams to influence, inform and support the implementation of long term strategies.

Key Accountabilities

• Provide expert knowledge to drive new product development, product and service applications and the long term innovation pipeline to deliver distinctive products and solutions, providing insights to anticipate future customer needs and translates into actionable plans to meet commercial targets.
• Partner collaboratively with commercial teams to identify new opportunities that positively impact growth and efficiency gains to retain and grow the company share of the business, championing the product portfolio and technical capabilities to bring a competitive advantage over other suppliers.
• Partner collaboratively with regional technical service representatives to identify and solve customer problems using deep knowledge of our products and a broad understanding of the supply chain and food systems.
• Present project proposals to advance new formulations, process improvements and regulatory awareness to customers and internal stakeholders and support the training and coaching to facilitate the transfer of knowledge to the global team to drive successful implementation.
• Tracks performance of implemented technical solutions in supply chain and stores against customers criteria, understanding the business impact for the customer and company, keeping focus on most critical opportunities for success.
• Provider leadership support to regional technical service team members, collaborating with leaders to establish key goals and objects and provide input to workforce planning to identify regional needs of the technical services team.
• Other duties as assigned
• Provide expert consultative guidance for initiating strategic long-range goals and objectives. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, food science, biological sciences, other related science field
• Confirmed success in product development and rollout with customers
• Minimum of eight years of related work experience

• Master’s degree in food science or related field
• Experience working for a global, matrixed organization
• Working experience and demonstrated success with commercial and marketing teams to create product innovation
• Experience leading complex projects requiring collaboration across functions to achieve commercial success
• Foodservice experience
• Experience with leading through influence
• Experience working with edible oils
