DepartmentEcommerce & DigitalAs one of our most experienced practitioners, the Global UX/UI Lead is a leader in our digital design team and the wider business. You will be at the forefront of leading a team of designers to create meaningful, impactful, engaging user experiences for our customers, suppliers and employees. You understand who our users are, their needs and goals, to design solutions to allow them to easily navigate and order on our web platforms.Your Role And Responsibilities- Responsible for leading our Global Digital Design team (located primarily in Waregem, Belgium and Olathe, Kansas, US) which is in a significant growth phase.
- Create an environment for great design where people are inspired and motivated to do their best work whilst achieving the team’s goals.
- Provide design direction, create clarity where there is none, deliver designs that bring the TVH brand to life through conceptual exploration, iterative design, aligned to customer-centric design methodologies.
- Help build and develop the design practice and capabilities, promote the team through sharing work in forums such as team meetings, define clear ownership and direction for methods and artifacts, such as the design system, and user journey maps.
- Create and maintain momentum in the team, ensuring the team is focussed on key, timely deliverables, such as customer journeys, developing information architecture, exploring design concepts, creating low and high fidelity designs, documenting work through the TVH design system, whilst delivering to agreed timelines.
- Coach and develop the team, identify opportunities for people to learn and grow as practitioners, ensure the team has the necessary skills to deliver on the design vision.
- A champion for design thinking who proactively builds relationships with teams including Brand, Voice of the Customer, Content, project leaders, functional analysts and developers, leading on projects as appropriate, supporting throughout the design and implementation phases, a spokesperson for design thinking and design practices, and challenging thinking and processes as needed.
- Define and implement a design vision for the organization and support the customer experience strategy through collaboration with stakeholders, such as Brand Team, Marketing, Ecommerce, and Product Development.
- Optimize, co-create, evaluate and test continuously with targeted end-users while designing solutions; organizing this in a sustainable way so that a continuous ‘voice of the user’ soundboard is in place.
- At least 5 years as a UX or UI Design practitioner with a proven, solid understanding and application of design principles.
- Demonstrable experience in leading and nurturing a design team, managing people at all levels.
- Creative mindset in combination with strong analytical and communication skills.
- Customer focused and continuous improvement mindset, you are someone who thrives in change.
- Knowledge of end-user research methodologies such as ethnography studies, contextual enquiries, moderated and unmoderated user testing.
- Well versed in graphics tools such as Figma (preferred), Sketch, AdobeXD and design methodologies, such as responsive design and accessibility.
- Experience in creating and implementing a vision for design across an organization.
- B2B and / or B2C e-commerce experience.
- Knowledge of the MarTech landscape such as CRO, social optimization, campaign reach, and insight generation.
- Understanding of coding, e.g. HTML, CSS, javascript, jQuery advantageous.
- Experienced in Project management and working in an agile environment.
