About This Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a recent HR graduate who wants to develop their career in generalist HR Space, while covering for a 12-month parental leave.
Reporting to Manager, People & Culture; you will be working closely with the broader People & Culture team, People & Performance Partners and other departments, to provide excellent HR administration support for a national team of 1000 employees.
This role will support HR functions such as recruitment, on-boarding, HR analysis, HR administration and participation in projects.
Role Responsibilities
- Supporting recruitment and hiring process including advertising, shortlisting, phone screens, face-to-face interviews, reference checks, background checks, offers and induction for Head Office positions.
- Administering onboarding process and drafting contracts for successful candidates in accordance with the Employee Due Diligence policy and varying employing entities, for the stores-based employees.
- Regularly actioning queries and requests from the national central HR Inbox and providing generalist HR support and timely advice to stakeholders.
- Maintaining personnel files and assisting with onboarding and offboarding process including drafting contracts, probation reviews, exit interviews etc.
- Assist with conducting HR analysis and generate reports as required.
- Participate and support HR projects as identified in our HR Annual Operating Plan.
- 1-2 years of previous HR experience would be well regarded.
- Qualification / degree in Human Resources or working towards it.
- Knowledge of interpreting policies, legislation, NES and Employment Agreements.
- High attention to detail with a proactive approach to your work
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office Skills, particularly with Word and Excel
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced team environment.
- Interest in shaping and growing a career in Human Resources.
