- Developing new renewable power solutions that will address the needs of GEMS upstream and downstream clients (power purchase agreements (PPAs)), and ENGIE’s renewable asset developers teams in CWE.
- Developing lasting commercial relationships with renewable asset developers, expanding GEMS renewable asset portfolio under management to serve our downstream clients in their energy transition.
- Pricing PPAs for our upstream and downstream clients, coordinating set-up of new contracts, deal implementation and management of the renewable assets portfolio in close collaboration with sales, origination, legal, trading, risk and operations teams and IT.
- Contributing to the development/improvement of pricing methodologies and models in close collaboration with trading, risk, analysts, quant teams and IT.
- Analyse, design and implement new renewable power solutions for upstream and downstream clients. In particular, as a Green Structurer you will be accountable for the transformation of the offer concept into a product that can be represented in GEMS risk systems. This includes:
- Identify, quantify and structure risks (credit, market, legal,... ), and price product in collaboration with trading.
- Assist the legal team in the preparation and negotiation of the contractual documentation, in particular, focus on levers for risk mitigation.
- Coordinate deal implementation in GEMS risk systems in collaboration with internal stakeholders (trading, risk teams (credit risk, market risk and risk methodologies), operations, back office, etc.).
- Coordinate and prepare internal approval processes in accordance with internal governance: (i) ensure product approval and (ii) prepare, present and ensure management approval for specific deals through various committees.
- Lead ad-hoc business cases to scale up GEMS renewable power management capabilities in close collaboration with other ENGIE GBUs and the finance department.
- Contribute to the development/improvement of pricing methodologies and models in close collaboration with trading and other internal stakeholders (market risk, risk methodologies, analysts, quant teams and IT).
- Contribute to the development/improvement of the asset and risk representation of renewable assets under management.
- Maintain a database of market standards, products and contract templates in close collaboration with legal, sales and origination.
- Support sales and origination in preparing support documents required for tenders and/or client RFPs (in particular review of the analytical narratives, product and pricing proposition(s)) and participate in upstream and downstream client visits on an ad-hoc basis, keeping track of market trends and promoting/explaining products.
- Solid knowledge of the CWE power system and markets.
- Solid knowledge of the RES industry.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency with IT tools.
- Proficiency with Python.
- Result-oriented hands-on approach and ability to manage multiple workflows.
- Reliable, rigorous and detail-oriented.
- Stress resilient.
- Team player, communicate easily and ability to interact/cooperate with a variety of different profiles (traders, analysts, quants, sales, support functions, etc.)).
- 5-10 years of experience in business development in the renewable energy sector and/or energy markets. Experience in renewable PPAs is a strong plus.
- Master degree in quantitative discipline (engineering, economics, finance, etc.).
- Fluent in English, French and/or Dutch. German is a plus.
Travels
You will be based in Brussels, with occasional travels within CWE.
