Acting as a reliable business partner to the Group and its Regions, the Financial Analyst provides insights on the financial performance of the Group and performs gap analysis, benchmarking on regional performances. He/She will play a key role and support the roll-out and widespread use of digital tools to ensure efficient processes.

YOUR CHALLENGE

Supporting the business decision-making process and ensuring data validity

Key member in the digital transition and automation

  • Identifies opportunities for automation or digital process streamlining
  • Develops process flows and is able to develop basic coding/automation. Is comfortable with technological changes and constinuously develops his IT skills.

Excel and Power-BI dashboard update

  • Preparation and validation of source files (Sales, P&L) for actual, budget, and forecast data
  • Sales & CAPEX sanity check - Reconcile financial data embedded in the consolidation database and the underlying data coming from the various reporting systems

Master Data ownership

  • Approves, validates, and create master data to ensure compliance with Group structure rules
  • Challenges the need for creating additional master data and complexity in the reporting tools

Management fees follow-up

  • Ensures accurate calculation and bookings of management fees (recharge of Group HQ costs) in close collaboration with the Group HQ controller

Ad hoc support

  • Provides back-up and support to the Group FP&A Director in the GAP analysis of (actuals vs budget or forecast)
  • Supports the group affiliates regarding financial aspects and Group reporting related questions
  • Analyzes and documents various balance sheet accounts variation in a timely and accurate manner
  • Supports and works with other functions throughout the company on various development projects and ad-hoc requests as they arise

Reporting

  • Prepare various sections of management reports such as Health & Safety, working capital, headcount, volume analysis.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

Basic requirements

  • University degree (economics or technical) or equivalent
  • Min. 3 years in finance and general accounting
  • Fluent in English, French is a plus
  • Curious about how finance reflects the business performance

Needed Knowledge

  • IT literate, knowledge of SAP and Business warehouse, excellent Excel skills
  • Basic knowledge of Python or other language is appreciated, willingness to invest time in developing such knowledge is required
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and costs control principles
  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare management reporting and projections
  • Knowledge of business management principles
