The Finance team of argenx is currently looking for an IFRS & Reporting manager, who will support the Group Financial Controller in the accounting and reporting for complex transactions, assure adherence to the company’s accounting policies across the Group,

He/she will be leading the preparation of the external financial materials and regulatory filings with the Dutch and US financial market regulators (AFM and SEC). He/she will play a key role in setting up an internal IFRS center of excellence supporting the Group entities and bringing quality advice to Management.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
  • Lead the regulatory (SEC & AFM) reporting process for interim and annual reports (including notably registration document, annual report on form 20-F);
  • Assist the Finance team in building comprehensive and to the point reporting to the Board and Audit & Compliance Committee;
  • Assist Investors Relations with the financial press release and conference call materials;
  • Support in the accounting and reporting for complex transactions, as well as adherence to the company’s accounting policies (IFRS);
  • Prepare technical memos and accounting position papers to support the company’s accounting conclusions and processes;
  • Able to review Accounting Standards Updates, asses and document the impact to the Company. Partner with the business to apply accounting guidance to specific transactions;
  • Provide information to and communicate/liaise with the external auditing firm and legal firms (NL and US) with regards to financial regulatory reporting;
  • Responsible for executing, documenting and updating internal controls associated with the reporting process.
  • Ensure internal up to date IFRS knowledge and providing IFRS training to the Finance teams.

  • Critical thinking and good analytical skills
  • Fluent in English and Dutch
  • Master’s degree in Finance with a minimum experience of 5 years in audit
  • Experience in a big-4 IFRS centre of excellence is a strong plus
  • Experience with SOx, PCAOB and SEC-filing requirements for foreign private issuers is a plus
  • Experience in the life science sector is a plus
  • Experience in writing internal policies and proceduresExperience in consolidation in an international environment is a plus
