Role overview :
- Responsible of the overall management of the international (intra zone) portfolio, the efficiency of its movements, its stability and its systems improvement
- Definition of the Global strategy of the international portfolio, focus on Portfolio Segmentation strategy
- Responsible of enhancement & alignment of international planning routines linked to Portfolio Segmentation strategy
- Benchmark and definition of supporting technology for portfolio systems & processes
- Owner of global standards and policy of the global portfolio
- Being the reference person for arbitrage of conflict between zones
- Guidance of import market teams on import SKUs and related volumes
- Owner of innovation budget (HL) review and feedback to Global Brand Directors
- Supervise all modification requests of the portfolio mix (RFS). This also includes introduction of innovation SKUs on global brand portfolio.
- Responsible of the Portfolio performance assessment and responsible for initiatives to reduce the complexity in the supply chain.
- Responsible for export out of our exporting zones (North America, Middle Americas, Europe) and based in Leuven.
Main accountabilities:
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPI) and the performance indicators (PI) related to portfolio management.
- Supervise the coordination of all international RFS (Request for Feasibility Study) process for the innovations and inflow/outflow of SKUs/Liquids/materials and articles in the portfolio (including packaging adjustment).
- Own and enforce RFS rules & global policy.
- Build out a professional network with all your key stakeholders both within supply and out (Pack Change, Procurement, Marketing, Sales, Export/Import team...).
- Supervise the obsolete management between exporting and importing zone during the ins and outs of articles/SKUs.
- Responsible for prioritization plans for supply RFS implementation.
HARMONIZATION:
- Supervision of portfolio movements, portfolio harmonization & optimization opportunities.
- Supervise the initiatives/efforts towards de-complexity of the portfolio with the aim of optimizing the variety and profitability of the SKUs we produce. This includes (but is not limited to) a yearly review of the complete finished good portfolio and implement the approved initiatives on decomplexity / harmonization of sku’s, balancing out commercial value (profitability) and supply complexity.
- Responsible for initiating supply efficiencies to improve: speed to market, compliance rate, portfolio optimization.
INNOVATION:
- Responsible for the logistics side of global innovation projects, this includes: Project scope definition, import markets guidance, cooperation with global brand team, supervision of RFS implementation, follow-up on GITEC actions.
- Responsible for providing status updates to Global Brand team on ongoing projects via monthly communication call.
KPI & reports:
- Improve monthly reporting routine of zone Portfolio KPIs
- Responsible of consolidating portfolio reports per importing and exporting zone Directors, Global supply VPs etc.
SYSTEMS EFFICIENCY:
- Responsible for RFS systems improvement, by supervising the build-up of new process mapping, new platform build-up, general system improvements, new reporting tools etc.
- Supplier & stakeholder management to work towards more efficient RFS systems (platform, reporting tools, visual reporting etc.)
- Responsible for the buy-in of relevant stakeholder for all new RFS improved systems
- Supervise & coordinate stakeholder’s training on improved RFS systems.
BUDGET:
- Responsible for the analysis of new SKUs and innovations during budget rounds. This includes the analysis and deep-dive of all new SKUs, its related volume and markets, as well as all innovations and specific pack.
- Feedback on budget to global brand directors and VPs together with guidance on import plan.
- Responsible for cross-checking with Global Brand Team that all new SKUs and special packs innovation are in line with global brand plans.
- Responsible for feedback to importers and follow-up on feedback implementation.
- Responsible for communicating budget feedback and highlights to portfolio team to make sure all feedback is taken into account.
Requirements:
- You have a university degree
- You have a minimum of 5 years in FMCG companies, including supply chain or logistics experience.
- Owning an MBA is a plus
- You are fluent in English, and ideally in Spanish. Any other language such as Dutch or French is a plus
- Excellent communication skills which is a pre-requisite for this function
- You are a leader instead of a follower/ an executer. You take initiative, looking for improvements is part of your personality
- You are result driven and pragmatic
- You are independent but you know when support is needed
- You have a good knowledge of the Office tools, especially Excel
- Analytical spirit and skills, able to steer complex processes in a structured and disciplined way.
- You have experience in people management
- You have a strong track records of project management experience
- Sales/Marketing experience or experience in production planning, supply network planning processes is a plus.
