IT Business Partner – Global Supply Chain & Logistics

The Zoetis Tech & Digital (ZTD) Global Manufacturing & Supply (GMS) Business Partner serves as a strategic and tactical interface with the Global Supply Chain & Logistics (GSCL) organization in the EuAfME and APAC regions for the purpose of information technology strategy development, solution discovery, project/program delivery, risk, and relationship management. This role will be an integral part of the GSCL organization and work on strategic and tactical levels to identify digital and technology opportunities, delivering business value and change through deployment of technology solutions.

Responsibilities:

Business Relationship Management (30%):

  • Build long-lasting relationship with the GSCL organization in the EuAfME and APAC regions.
  • Understand business needs, objectives, and challenges as well as industry trends and customer priorities; influence the business strategy and shape thinking of how technology can drive innovation and enable the digital agenda.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the EuAfME and APAC organizations for bringing new demand into the ZTD organization, and collaborate with internal/external stakeholders for converting the same into tangible solutions (from idea to delivery)


Leadership (10%):

  • Provide direction, coaching, mentoring, and development in a matrix organization with no direct reports
  • Drive high-performing culture, behaviors, and results in your domain of influence and interactions
  • Manage assigned contractor resources, including statements of work (SOW), onboarding, work assignments, knowledge transfer to Zoetis colleagues, and offboarding as needed


Project Management (40%):

  • Lead the Project Life Cycle for assigned projects, manage projects as well as guide project management resources within area of responsibility, in accordance with appropriate project management methodology (SDLC; Agile) and deliver results against plan through self and others
  • Create and deliver project related communications on project health and risks to key stakeholders, including Steering Committees and Governance Groups
  • Drive relevant future M&A activities within areas of responsibilities against agreed integration strategies and plans
  • Drive new solution delivery and 3PL integration efforts against agreed strategies and plans


Business Analysis and Operational Excellence (20%):

  • Collaborate with business partners to identify business needs and value, and work with the ZTD ERP Delivery Team to translate those requirements into tangible system solutions
  • Identify and champion Operational Excellence opportunities and initiatives within and across areas of responsibilities in collaboration with the GSCL and ZTD Operations (e.g., incident management and break/fix processes, 3PL and warehousing processes, simplification of integration testing efforts in partnership with the Automated Testing CoE, etc.)
  • Collaborate with ZTD Operations to derive the Root Cause(s) (RCA) for system failures and Corrective action/Preventive action (CAPA) reports, ensure proactive communication of system failures to business stakeholders
  • Partner with 3PLs to improve their system and integration performance according to established standards and metrics
  • Collaborate with GSCL to implement and expand Communities of Practice to drive business adoption, knowledge sharing and leveraging of best practices
  • Partner with GSCL and ZTD Operations to refine and improve knowledge management systems and enable self-service tools and documentation


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field is required; Master’s preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in various IT practices such as Supply Chain Management, Business Relationship Management, Project Delivery, Operational Service Delivery, IT Vendor Management
  • Experience with delivery of ERP, WMS and 3PL integration projects is preferred
  • Experience with SAP is preferred
  • Proven ability to combine knowledge from multiple disciplines, identifying and integrating industry best practices with existing solutions to produce an optimal business solution
  • Demonstrated ability to work across organizational regional and global boundaries, ability to manage multiple projects in a cross-divisional and cross-functional environment
  • Adept at understanding customer challenges, navigating from problem to resolution and communicating process and resolution effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Experience leading, coaching and mentoring in a matrix organization with no direct reports
  • Experience with Business Process Analysis, Design & Harmonization
  • Experience in life sciences / pharmaceuticals industry is preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to drive process analysis, design, and harmonization
  • Understanding and affinity for Supply Chain Management & Logistics trends and practices
  • Fluent English



Travel Requirements:

Occasional domestic and international travel (<25%)
