The IT project manager must achieve the intended result within the predetermined budget and planning through a project-based approach and management. The IT project manager must be able to work closely with the employees from the departments involved (end users, IT development, IT infrastructure, management, Legal, Compliance, Risk, DPO/ISO, etc.).
The IT project manager manages several previously technical projects and changes, such as application upgrades, reconfiguration of environments, decommissioning of applications, but also audits and technical exercises (DRP, BRR)
Responsibility and tasks:
- You are responsible for the coordination of projects & changes between different IT delivery teams (both development and infrastructure)
- You will manage and report on all key project deliverables and milestones, including: project charter, project planning and resources, handover plan and strategy, coordination of IT assets during aftercare, post-project evaluation, ...
- You coordinate with other project managers to identify and clarify any dependencies between project tasks
- You will coordinate with IT Architecture to ensure that the proposed solution is in line with the architecture guidelines
- You propose new ideas, methodologies and/or technologies to further improve the evolution of IT as a service provider.
- You define, analyze and manage the project objectives and feasibility;
- You get a clear insight into the business requirements (what needs to be done) and/or evaluate the impact for the business users. You coordinate the solution design (how it is done) in interaction with the IT Architect and the IT Application Development teams.
- To realize the intended solution, you draw up a work break down plan. You tailor the plan to the various stakeholders. You follow up on the implementation of the plan.
- You are responsible for the end-to-end solution in the various project phases and the transition from project mode to operational mode
- During the closure of the project, you draw up "Lessons Learned" in consultation with the various stakeholders and communicate them to the departments involved;
- You organize project meetings and steering committees and are responsible for setting up and distributing the meeting minutes.
- In addition, you are also back up for a number of IT systems such as Orchestrator; You are also the point of contact for auditors, providing them with the requested information and guiding them through the audit process.
- You participate in, or lead technical exercises such as DRP (Disaster recovery Plan), BRR (Backup, Restore and Recovery) and test them.
- You will take on a number of administrative tasks.
The IT-PM reports to the Head of IT Application Development
Internal contacts:
- with the business users
- with Actuarial Services, Product Development, Risk Management, ...
- with business analysts, system analysts and analyst/programmers.
- with suppliers of (software) solutions
- with consultants and employees of service companies
- Minimum in possession of a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent by experience) with strong affinity in the IT world;
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience as a Project Manager;
- A good knowledge of project management methodologies and tools. Knowledge of MS Project is a plus;
- Able to make an objective analysis and report on all IT-related activities
- You are driven, stress-resistant, deliver quality and are a real team player.
- A good knowledge of Dutch, French and English.
- You are a good, proactive communicator, able to communicate in a transparent way, which is understandable and convincing for IT and non-IT related people
- You can focus on details without losing track
- You are creative in finding practical solutions
