IT Project Manager with Expertise in Customs

Responsibilities: Management of multiple projects and the project team (and/or supervising the subcontractors’ project team), the project plan and all the project management procedures; Delivery of Customs IT related projects; Ensure smooth functioning of the existing IT systems and applications; Act as a backup to other project managers; Manage the programme with all its components with the involvement of contractors’ teams, including virtual and physical meetings; Manage monthly, quarterly and yearly reports towards management and escalation of undue risks; Manage and assess the Risk of Plans and progress reports and propose mitigating actions ensuring implementation of deployment Plan and Transition Plan; Organising the integration of all the IT applications and services required for the entry into operations, as well as application change and release management coordination; Contribute and coordinate the inception of new projects and of their interfaces with international initiatives; Manage and coordinate with the service Management team the on-time implementation of requests linked with the implementation of their respective Project Plan so as to secure the deployment according to expectations and SLA; Manage the development, deployment into operations and operations of the IT systems and its integration with central services and platforms, including coordination of MS Conformance Testing; Set-up and enforce the respect of organisation, procedures and project office tasks, raising warnings in case of non-respect; Propose new initiatives and contribute to the IT system design and strategic planning work; Coordinate the projects’ various stakeholders (IT teams, subcontractors’ teams, Member States’ representatives); Enforce the delivery of the projects according to the agreed schedule, with the expected quality and with the resources provided; Systematic progress assessment and timely reporting on the project status (tasks progress, plan, actions, risks in particular the ones with potential impacts on time or resources, issues, decisions, changes, KPI) with partners, including timely escalation of important risks; Understand the technological aspects of the project, including the risks and the success factors; Produce and/or review documents targeted to the audience, provide suggestions for service or methodology improvements; Ensure compliance with internal standards, raising warnings in case of non-respect; Participate and contribute to transversal activities with internal or external stakeholders e.g. conference calls, produce documents, documents review, meetings minutes and quality checks; Asses the quality of deliverable and services from contractors; Accurate and timely support to questions and issues; Design, organisation and follow-up of CT (Conformance Testing) campaigns and rollout.
