Robert Half is looking for an Accounting Leader (m/f/x). We work in exclusivity for this research.

Our client is a Group leading developer and supplier of products and technologies for automotive, wind and performance composites applications operating manufacturing facilities in Belgium, Norway and India, as well as a dedicated R&D Centre and Customer Service Centre in Belgium.

The Accounting Leader is in charge of financial reporting and compliance and is the key contact point for accounting for the Group. (S)he leads specific financial processes (procedure to pay, order to cash, intangibles, sales…) and aims at continuously controlling and improving them. (S)he analyses financial information related to assets, profit and loss, tax liability and transfers between entities, and ensures information consolidation for all entities. The Accounting Leader report to the Group’s Financial Controller.

Concretely, Your Responsibilities Are

• You are in charge of the monthly financial statement for his/her plant in BE GAAP and prepare the yearly statutory financial statements for the group consolidation in IFRS.
• You maintain general accounting of the Belgian entity and the Group in compliance with BE GAAP and IFRS, with the Payable Specialist reporting to you.
• You file tax and VAT returns for his/her plant and maintain fixed asset and intangibles registers
• You continuously update key controls and accounting scheme; you provide support to other departments on understanding financial accounting standards and reporting.
• You establish reconciliation statements between every entity.
• You control transfer pricing and transfer margins.
• You are a key player in corporate finance projects (e.g.: tax optimization and tax deduction, subsidies).
• You actively participate in internal and external audits.
• You are the Financial Information and Project System SAP champion.
  

For This Position, Your Qualifications Are

• You hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting. A tax certification is a plus.
• You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar function, preferably in an international group and/or industry.
• You have a good knowledge of financial flows and processes.
• You are fluent in French and in English.
• You have an excellent command of SAP and Excel, and are familiar with the use of various databases.
• You have an analytical mind, and work with accuracy and full confidentiality.
• You have very good organisation and planning skills, are flexible and proactive for your internal customers.
