As an Application Engineer, you will lead specific research projects which you discussed with your customers. In close collaboration with the departments Business Development, Product Management and Sales . You will work for a growing chemical company with over 250 employees in Beveren. This is a challenging and growing working environment.
  • Whether receiving a small technical question or leading a big application project, you provide technical product support to the customer in close collaboration with Business Development, Product Management and Sales. This support comprises various stages of the business process: initial product evaluation, product qualification, process optimization & potential issues or complaints
  • Respecting the customer timelines, you prepare the requested information in tailored presentations and reports, either by collecting available information or by generating new data in our application lab. If required, you participate in calls or meetings.
  • To achieve the above, you work closely with the local teams (QC, R&D, production…), with the Application lab technicians in Beveren, with your colleague (Field) Application Engineers (both in Europe and in the other regions), and if needed with external partners or laboratories.
  • In order to maintain and extend our lab capabilities you are occasionally involved in the selection and qualification of new lab equipment.
  • You have a master in chemistry/physics/material science or engineering and you have experience in experimental research. A PhD is a plus.
  • You have a solid and broad knowledge of semiconductor technology, production and processing.
  • You have several years of working experience in semiconductor processing in a wafer fab or research center, preferably in photolithographic processing (coat, exposure, develop).
  • You combine technical expertise with a thorough business attitude and hands-on mindset.
  • You occasionally travel to support and collaborate with customers and partners. Most of the time you work from Beveren (9120).
