For one of our clients in Belgium, we are looking for an Azure Cloud Architect to join our Team.

Location: Mechelen (2 days onsite)

Languages: Dutch (Native) and English

Employment Type: Permanent or Freelance

Start Date: ASAP

Level of education required.

Higher education (Master or Bachelor) with a technical/engineering or business economics background.

Requirements:

• Azure Cloud Architect with IAAS/PAAS experience and certification.
• General infrastructure knowledge and experience with Microsoft Enterprise environments.
• Communication skills and experience with teamwork and project-oriented work.
• Knowledge of business processes in general and those of the Flemish government in particular
• At least 5 years of experience in general business operations with application in the ICT field.
• Strong communication and analysis oriented.
• Strong abstraction ability
• Architectural conceptual skill and experience.
• Language requirement: Dutch at European CEFR level C2.
• Thorough Knowledge of all domains plus proven specialist architect in at least 1 specialist domains
• Knowledge of the different Project Management facets (costs, timing, coordination, planning, estimates)
• Thorough Knowledge of Business Engineering; be able to propose business solutions that a
• Good interplay between Business and Technology knowledge

Technical context

Broad general knowledge of ICT infrastructure, ICT technologies and application development preferred in-depth knowledge in the following areas:

• Azure cloud governance and Azure landing zones.
• Azure FinOps and financial optimizations against the AS-IS situation.
• Azure experience and knowledge of IAAS and PAAS configurations.
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as code
• Concepts and methods of cloud environments (private, public or hybrid cloud, IaaS, ...)
• Architecture patterns, best practices and standards
• Security: Azure AD, SSL 1.2 and encryption methods
• Microsoft Windows Server (2016-2022) environment and associated high available / fault tolerant solutions
• Server virtualization (VMWare & Hyper-V)
• Database management (MS SQL)
• Data communication, switching and security : WAN, LAN, WLAN, DMZ , F5, ...
