Description:

Client is looking for a talented Microstrategy BI Developer to reinforce our Data Platforms team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the MicroStrategy semantic layer, including the creation and maintenance of schema objects, hierarchies, and attributes
• Ensure Reporting & Analytics agility by integrating non DWH data source in the Unified Semantic Layer (external data sources, OLAP cubes, …)
• Liaise with relevant IT teams (DWH developers, Business Data analyst, DWH Architect, Data Viz experts, ..) to ensure fast delivery of BI solutions supporting the creation of valuable insight & aligned with Carrefour Belgium architecture.
• Implement best practices for version control, change management, and promotion workflows (Dev=>QA=>Prod)
• Troubleshoot any issues during the promotion process to ensure a smooth transition between environments
• Design and implement user security models and roles within MicroStrategy to ensure appropriate access control and data security
• Work in collaboration with our IAM team to administer user access, privileges, and authentication mechanisms for the MicroStrategy environments
• Ensure the BI solution Performance & Capacity Management activities (measurement, alerting, optimization, maintenance)
• In collaboration with the MicroStrategy support team, plan and validate upgrades, and patch installations
• Document processes, configurations, and procedures to ensure proper knowledge sharing within the team.

Education

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience

• Min 5 years of experience in an equivalent role is a must.
• Experience with MicroStrategy BI solution is requested
• Proven experience in dashboard & reporting
• Strong debugging/troubleshooting skills are required
• Expertise in data manipulation and modeling languages is requested (ability to read complex, debug & optimize complex SQL)
• Good understanding of data warehouse solution delivery principles (dimensional modeling, ETL, Enterprise Data Model, ...)
• Proven experience with GCP’s BigQuery, Dataform is a big plus
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Understanding of data visualization best practices and concepts is a plus
• Understanding of the data analysis approach & challenges is a plus
• Ability to communicate efficiently with both technical and business audiences
• Ability to work efficiently in team (remotely & on site)
• Previous experience in the retail industry is a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication (French or Dutch and English)
