Mission
The mission of the Brand Manager will consist in strengthening the brand (positioning) and developing top-level marketing communication, consistent across all touchpoints.
He/She will contribute to the growth of Brussels Airlines, by assuring that all advertising and marketing activities send out the right message to the right audience.
The challenge is to make the marketing communication more customer-centric; applying a data-driven segmentation and ‘digital media first’ approach.
He/She will be the main contact person for the brand implementation in the different Brussels Airlines departments & in partnerships with external marketing partners, creating a consistent brand experience across the complete customer & employee journey.

Brand Strategy
Main activities
- Act as the Brussels Airlines brand-guardian and ambassador ‘par excellence’
- Have a good understanding of the Brussels Airlines brand, the consumer journey and personae relevant to the brand
- Know where the brand stands for; what’s “on” & “off” brand and convey this to others
- Have a good understanding of who buys Brussels Airlines and what guides them towards us
- Look for consumer insights, throughout the different touchpoints of the consumer journey (both internal and external)
- Able to use these insights to identify growth opportunities throughout the consumer journey (consumer, channel, agency)
- Highly effective at translating ideas into actionable plans that achieve results, focusing on the big picture as well as on details
- Turn observations into shareable stories to inform and inspire others
Key Result Area 2
Brand & product campaigns
Main activities
- Work with colleagues and agencies to craft a brief that’s single-minded and clear
- Have a close collaboration with team members in digital, social media and 121 communication
- Seek to understand creative ideas deeply before judging them
- Feedback both external agencies and internal creatives on time, clearly and well structured
- Act as guardian of brand consistency throughout all campaigns and visibility materials.
- Take an active lead in the coordination of the campaigns with both all external agencies and internal teams, in and outside of marketing
- Make up a clear project planning with pre-defined milestones. Follow-up correctly to ensure an on time, in full delivery
- ‘Live the digital space’ and understand the role of digital and mobile for my consumers and Brussels Airlines.
- Help to define clear KPI’s for campaigns, analyze their success and present the results in a clear and concise way, with learnings and recommendation for improvement.

Brand implementation
Main activities
- Work with colleagues across all Brussels Airlines departments to implement our branding in a consistent way
- Act as a project manager for all internal branding projects, making sure all departments receive the correct branded items on time & in line with our brand style guide
- Act as a project manager for brand integration with external partners, ensuring that our brand is used in a consistent way
Profile
- Masters degree in Marketing or equivalent
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in strategic marketing communication
- Languages: Fluent in English, and French or Dutch (spoken & written) is a must. German is an asset
- Brand management: knowledge of brand purpose, positioning, equity
- Campaign champion from briefing till evaluation
- Analytical skills: Data lover in both searching & analyzing
- Excellent communicator with good presentation skills
- Strong planning & project management skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong communications skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work under pressure and to manage diverse tasks at the same time
- Independent and proactive approach
