The primary role of the Ecommerce Business Analyst is to help the organization implement e-commerce solutions in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of a project or program and communicating them clearly to all parties involved (stakeholders, developers, QA, Program Manager, etc.).

This position will serve as a vital link for our business objectives by supporting and ensuring the successful completion of analytical, building, testing and deployments tasks of our e-commerce product features.

Your role and responsibilities

  • Understand, analyze, and document detailed business requirements and user stories.
  • Assist with managing the product backlog, providing prioritization recommendations based on value, effort, cost and institutional priority.
  • Breakdown larger pieces of work into smaller deliverables and plan out timelines and resources to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Write user stories and acceptance criteria for all active/approved product work.
  • Re-negotiate priorities and commitments when the team communicates new discoveries that impact the scope of the work.
  • Track key milestones and adjust project plans as needed, managing and mitigating risk.
  • Owning traditional scrum/kanban activities such as: identifying and resolving blockers, facilitating estimation of work, requirements documentation, cross-team meetings, recurring ceremonial meetings (requirements refinement, standups, retros, project kick-off, go-live reviews, etc...).
  • Workflow ownership.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources
  • Ability to capture requirements with efficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail on a consistent basis, synthesizing high-level information into details.
  • Abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding
  • Conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

How to succeed / Your profile

  • Experience with Confluence and Jira.
  • Experience with Kanban boards and just-in-time delivery.
  • Requirements gathering and documentation, user story and acceptance criteria writing.
  • Process definition, management, and optimization.
  • Identifying and managing competing priorities.
  • Sharp attention to detail.
  • Stakeholder management.
  • Experience working with digital teams including technology, analytics and data teams.
  • Strong understanding Agile practices, running stand ups, requirement refining sessions, presenting at Demos.
  • Must be fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Attitude to learn quickly and effectively.
  • Honesty, strong work ethic and team player.
  • Over 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner or Product Manager in an enterprise level environment.
