Our client is looking for a motivated IT Business Analyst to join our ART Leads & Insights. As a Business Analyst, you play an important bridging role between business and IT and you largely determine the face of IT towards the various businesses. You have experience in BI and a strong interest in Big Data technologies and prescriptive & predictive analytics. You are able to demonstrate the added value of IT to our end users and their customers.

The ’common thread’ within ART Data & Leads is the development of and support for leads, insights & BI solutions. In addition to the classic BI solutions with the classic BI tools and technologies (SAS, Qlikview, etc.), this also includes Big Data solutions with their specific tools and technologies (R, Python, Spark, Scala, Hadoop, etc.). With this move towards a data-driven company, our client wants to make the difference with other financial institutions.

Job content of an IT Business Analyst:

• Translating business requirements into a fit-for-purpose IT solution
• Carrying out a work preparation or ’feasibility’ study in which you as a business analyst identify the various solution alternatives and investigate their feasibility in terms of scope, budget, TTM (time-to-market), A2E (Ability to Execute) within the IT application landscape.
• Responsible for the status reporting of your work preparation files to program and IT management.
• You are aware of the Project Life Cycle and you apply it.
• At the end of your feasibility study you deliver the crucial IT deliverables and ensure a handover to the project team. Afterwards you remain available during the execution of the work for follow-up.
• Ensuring support for the IT solution within the IT organisation (technology experts, IT architects, business analysts community, ...)
• Follow up of technology trends and evolutions within the domain
• Act as co-entrepreneur for your internal business customer, including advising on where technology can be an enabler to realise business ideas. You are actively involved in the IT architecture community, not only are you transparent about your own work, but you also follow the other projects and assist colleagues where necessary.

• you have solid experience as a business analyst (minimum 2 years in this role) in a complex IT environment

• experience with Disciplined Agile Development and with Archimate is a plus
