Duties and Role:

Lead/deliver projects or individual Work Packages, according to schedule, budget and quality requirements; from start-up to closure. Work Packages include Automation, Quality Testing, Data Improvement, Asset Values and Reporting Duties and Roles: Acquire datasets that align with business needs

Develop algorithms to transform data into useful, actionable information

Build, test, and maintain database pipeline architectures

Collaborate with management to understand company objectives

Create new data validation methods and data analysis tools

Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies

As a data analyst, he/she will have to assume specific responsibilities, including:
  • Collecting information from a database with the help of query
  • Enable data processing and summarize results
  • Use basic algorithms in their work like logistic regression, linear regression and so on.
  • Possess and display deep expertise in data munging, data visualization, exploratory data analysis and statistics
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders, including Contractors and NATO organizations
  • Follow-up project execution: documentation review, testing, delivery etc…
  • Act as team member for large projects; in particular to support the project manager for any relevant duties
  • Be ready to act independently either as Test, Migration
  • Travel to other NATO locations
  • Adhere to NCI Agency guidance and directives, general NATO Standards, and more
  • Any other duties as mandated by line manager

Requirements

Skill, Knowledge & Experience:
  • The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance valid through the contract period
  • A university master’s degree in Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent experience equivalent to a Master’s degree;
  • Former experience in NCIA, thorough knowledge of NCIA Asset Management processes and conversant with NATO Policy and procurement procedures;
  • Experience as an IT Data Engineer in IT projects (3 years).
  • Experience in managing, planning, design, system, engineering and implementation of military or other communication and information systems.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, SQL and other Microsoft BI stack tools.
  • Advance knowledge and experience in Power BI, Dashboard development and Power Query tools.
  • Experience in ETL methods especially moving data from Transaction Databases to Data Warehouses (DW).
  • Experience in DW development and management.
  • Advance knowledge in Data Normalization techniques.
  • Understand and ability to develop relational Databases using Kimball method.
  • Experience in Oracle SQL developer.
  • Knowledge in ITIL V3 or above.
  • Understand and knowledge in APEX reports, databases and solution development.
  • Knowledge and experience in SharePoint.
  • Understand and ability to create row level security in Power BI, SSRS or in Oracle APEX.
  • Carry out monitoring, tuning, and database performance analysis.
  • Develop and delivery of high quality documentation of DWs and solutions.
  • Use of Github or similar tool for version control of solutions.
  • Knowledge and experience in state-of-the-art technologies, relevant to the work;
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with good briefing skills, in English;
  • English 4343 (see STANAG 6001);
  • Able to operate under time pressure and autonomously, and able to multitask continuously;
  • Experience of working in an (international) environment, comprising both military and civilian staff.
