Duties and Role:

  • Perform pre-check on test reference environment to confirm the availability and full functionality of the tested product
  • Validate the configuration and setup of the environment against predefined standards and requirements
  • Identify any issues or discrepancies that could impede testing activities
  • Act as a liaison between security testing teams, and other relevant stakeholders
  • Communicate readiness status and potential issues to relevant teams in a timely manner
  • Provide technical support and also able to install systems and applications (ESXi/Vmware environment)
  • Assist in configuring and maintaining the test reference environments as needed
  • Ensure that all necessary tools, software, and configurations are in place for security testing
  • Perform basic security checks and validation to identify potential vulnerabilities
  • Performs any other duties if requested
Requirements

Skill, Knowledge & Experience:

  • The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
  • A university degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a technical subject with substantial Information Technology (IT) content and 2 years of specific experience. Exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate’s particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCI Agency; that is, at least 8 years extensive and progressive expertise in the duties related to the function of the post
  • Proven experience as a System Administrator,
  • Strong understanding of networking, security principles, and best practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Good communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely

Desirable

  • In-depth knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket administration, including installation, configuration, andmaintenance
  • Good knowledge of Atlassian JIRA and/or Confluence
