We are looking for someone who has experience within civil works and infrastructure and who wants to implement a whole new department within DEME procurement.

As Category Manager Civils and Aggregates, you will be responsible for the procurement of civil services and aggregates within the whole DEME group. In this position, you will be implementing high level procurement strategies worldwide within the group

Your responsibilities

  • You will define and execute procurement strategy for your specific categories within construction, civils and aggregates (rock, grout, cement, etc…)
  • You will take the lead in sourcing multi million tenders, select suppliers, conclude, maintain and monitor agreements
  • You are the go – to person within your category and will be given the opportunity to build a team of procurement experts;
  • You develop strong partnership with operational departments and budget owners
  • You ensure that contracts are being executed accordingly and will take appropriate actions when needed

Your profile

  • Master’s degree in (Civil) Engineering, and/or Applied Economics Business Engineer, or equal by experience;
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in a procurement management role or management of projects & operations in construction or civil works;
  • Master in negotiations and focus on result
  • Fluent in English, Dutch is recommended
