We have been supporting the company continuously since 2019 with selected vacancies as an external specialist in recruitment.Place of work/location: Eastern Switzerland, Rhine ValleyPurchasing volume Indirects: Purchasing volume CHF 70 millionWorkload: 100%Home office: Yes, 2 days if resident in Switzerland, 1 day if abroad in the EUThe company is one of the world leaders in its field.Primary objectives of the role:
  • Development and implementation of global category strategies and optimisation of TCO and supplier base
  • Management of international projects and derivation and communication of best practices
  • Increased efficiency and transparency in processes and guidelines
TasksWhat awaits you?
  • Develop and implement short-, medium- and long-term category strategies for optimal TCO and supply security
  • Categories: Services, IT, Packaging
  • Representation of own category for indirect material in the global corporate environment
  • Responsible for achieving global targets in terms of cost efficiency, supplier optimisation and uncontrolled purchasing reduction
  • Forward-looking advice on trends, risks and opportunities in the respective categories
  • Function as a business partner for key stakeholders and create value for internal customers
  • Active management of supplier relationships in own category, coordinated with category teams in CH, Asia, Europe
RequirementsWhat do you bring with you?
  • At least 5 years of experience in procurement as well as profound knowledge in a globally structured category management
  • Optimally, you have already gained professional experience in global industrial companies that were subject to interdisciplinary change processes
  • Professional experience in the indirect purchasing environment / indirect category management and dealing with the associated challenges in change projects
  • Strong contract negotiation skills and fluency in business English
  • Experience in dealing with procurement systems and electronic tool solutions
