Cobol Developer Employee Benefits

We are looking for a Cobol Developer to strengthen our IT Employee Benefits team. As a Cobol Developer you will develop, test and maintain existing and new applications as part of the digital transformation within our group. You will take into account the quality, user-friendliness and performance of the integrated systems.

Your responsibilities

  • Maintain existing programs or write, improve and test new programs according to the defined needs and requirements
  • Prepare technical analyses to ensure optimal integration
  • Support the IT team in setting up an acceptance test environment and assist users in executing those tests, including following up on results
  • Support implementations and act as the technical point of contact for end users
  • Ensure application continuity and propose improvements

Your profile

  • You have a higher education diploma in IT with experience in Cobol, or you do not have a higher diploma but possess extensive practical experience
  • Very good knowledge of Dutch and English; French is a plus
  • Several years of experience in the insurance sector
  • Good knowledge of Cobol and experience developing applications using Cobol and mainframe environments
  • Experience preparing technical analyses (UML preferred)
  • Experience with Jira
  • Experience with Zephyr
  • Experience working in an Agile team
  • Experience with test-driven development
  • Experience with another programming language (Mulesoft / Java) is an advantage
