EUROPE’S MEDIALAB (Fondation EURACTIV), is a “THINK-and-DO TANK” for the health of the media sector in Europe. It is a continuing member of the EURACTIV Media Network, and registered in Belgium as a “Fondation d’Utilité Publique”. Through projects, policy analysis and advocacy Europe’s MediaLab (Fondation EURACTIV):
THINK:
  • Advocates for media independence, sustainability, pluralism and language diversity
DO:
  • Train and exchange for media innovation: Stars4Media EU project
  • Additional Stars4media programmes being decided soon
  • Cooperate with civil society and events and social media to fight populism and Brexit-like situations

Communication Assistant (intern)
(Contrat d’Immersion Professionnelle)
Possible starting date: July 2023 at the earliest
Contract: Contrat d’Immersion Professionnelle (6 months, renewable for another 6 months)
Job Description:
You will help the Founder and the Management of the EURACTIV Media Network and EUROPE’S MEDIALAB (Fondation EURACTIV) to raise productivity and impact. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience and visibility in EU affairs, work in a dynamic team, and develop your ideas to improve our services.
Main tasks will include:
  • Support high-level contacts and networking
  • Help developing presentations and PR materials
  • Keep track of ongoing projects with key stakeholders
  • Support communication & social media
  • Manage travel, agenda & logistics for trips & events
Profile:
  • Master Degree in relevant subject
  • Knowledge of EU & Brussels through studies and/or practical experience (including internship)
  • Interest in EU affairs and event organisation
  • A team-player who enjoys working in a small team
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility
  • Self-starter, able to anticipate
  • Hard-working and organised
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Flexible and problem-solving attitude
  • Good computer skills – especially MS Office and Google tools – as well as communication (e.g. Twitter, LinkedIn)
  • Excellent written English, spoken French or other EU languages an advantage
