The Compliance Administrator is employed in the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) and works to the Works Services Manager (WSM) and the Infrastructure Manager to deliver the scheduling and booking of pre-planned maintenance works in all the DIO accommodation for the SHAPE, Brussels and Lille areas. The role also requires the individual to engage with local contractors and suppliers.

Main duties are:

  • Managing infrastructure compliance through detailed planning of routine compliance regimes.
  • Arranging compliance reports under the direction of the WSM with local contractors and landlords.
  • Liaising and coordinating the landlords’ or local contractors’ appointments with occupants.
  • Checking and processing of bills and invoices.
  • Coordinating tradesmen’s daily tasks in conjunction with the helpdesk and act as their point of contact.
  • Conducting translation duties in support of routine maintenance and report work.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in written and spoken French and English; knowledge of Dutch would be an asset.
  • Good IT skills and proficiency with MS Office, esp. Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Good numeracy, communication (oral and written) and customer service skills.
  • Good working understanding of facilities management and basic construction techniques.
  • Tactful and diplomatic, able to act independently and decisively.
